Amelia, 2003, Canada, 30min.
Described by the French magazine "Danser," AMELIA is "virtuosity in its purist state." Choreographer Edouard Lock designed by the film and the set which is essentially a dance floor wrapped around the dancers. Produced in Association with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Arte France, La Societe Radio-Canada, this stunning program won the American Choreography Awards 2004 in Los Angeles.

This amusing short in which Levy is a young dancer haunted by a growing collection of toe shoes, which surround her like loving dogs or fierce competitors depending on your pointof view. Agathe Berman produced for Les Films d'Ici.

Cosimo Zitani, Choreographer mark Johnson fashions the mundance into the sublime when he is trapped in a revolving door and discovers his only escape is to sucumb to the flow of circular motion. Produced with the help of Bravo!FACT.

Toni Vidaechea, In this winner of VideoDansa competition 2004, a lean, exhausted dancer/choreographer Olga Sasplugas struggles beneath a pool of light. Is she trapped or attempting to escape? Or caught in an endless loop between the two?

THE COST OF LIVING, 34 min. England, 2004, 34m
Choreographer/Director Lloyd Newson of London's famed DV8 takes us to a faded seaside town where street performers David and Eddie struggle to find work and romance. A film that hurls provocations and scalding humor at notions of how the fit and unfit are supposed to act.

A BREATH OF PINA
Huseyin Karabey, Turkey, 2005; 40m (in Dutch, with English subtitles)A taciturn Pina Bausch smiles, nods, and takes notes for the marvelous dancers of her Wuppertal Dance Theatre, seen rehearsing and performing in Istanbul. Enigmatic as always, the choreographer nevertheless offers a privileged glimpse of herself at work.
